HOPE FOR THE LOST/ PASSION FOR EXCELLENCE MINISTRY is a non – denominational Christian organization conceived by vision given to OGUNSOLA, AMOS AYOOLUWA by GOD ALMIGHTY. Having all experience of life & the passion to reach the unreached with the gospel of our lord JESUS CHRIST; no more behind the counts but to press forward at the commandment of God, not counting it that we have apprehended but as MOSES said “that I may know Him, & the power of his Glory so Apostle Paul says ‘that I may know Him, & the power of His resurrection. And the fellowship of his sufferings, being made comfortable unto His death; if by any means I might attain unto the resurrection of the dead. Not as though I have reached the mark, either was already perfect: but I follow after, if I may apprehend that for which I am also apprehended of Christ Jesus.
Brethren, I count not myself to have apprehended: but this one thing I do, forgetting those things which are behind, and reaching forth unto those things which are before, I press towards the mark for the prize of higher calling of God in Christ Jesus.
Let us therefore, as many as be perfect, are thus minded: and if anything ye be otherwise minded, God shall reveal even unto you. Nevertheless, whereto we have already attained, let us by the same rule, and let us mind the same thing. (Ph. 3:10-16)
To reach the unreached with gospel of Christ; we remember also them who are both bounds to Christ Jesus to save people of the world with gospel. (Heb. 13:3). As old as the gospel of Christ, we acknowledged that there are still many more kingdoms to be conquered and many more land to be possessed and to apprehend. Joshua heard the same from the Lord (Jos. 13:1); the same instruction, not t rest yet because there left many more land to be possessed. Therefore, we are pressing forward, that we might by faith conquer KINGDOMS.
Our utmost desire is that the word of God will be rightly propagated and spelled out to the increase of His kingdom. And that as we strive not as missing pouches, neither like one who bits the air, we pray we may together lead the people to God through our ministry of faith and good works. Above all “after which we have labored for God we will not at the end of the day cast out”… for God will not forget our labor of love.
THE NAME, VISION & MANDATE
The name of the ministry was not a struggle at all, because the night I heard God clearly saying ‘HOPE OF GENERATION & LIGHT UNTO GENTILES’ but the fact is that I needed a clearer understanding of what this could implies; so I inquire from God what are these things you have spoken to me further than I expected, he took to me to the book of Isaiah 61 ‘the spirit of the sovereign Lord is upon me because has anointed me to preach the good news to the poor … to proclaim the liberty of the Lord & to set the captives free. As I hear this & the Lord said to me expressly “Son there are lost souls that I need you to bring back to the kingdom He also said to me that I should behold the field is white but the laborers are few.
Beginning with HOPE; it is written in the bible “HOPE OF GLORY CHRIST IN ME” among the fruit is HOPE, which is essential in someone’s life because if there is no Hope then one is good for nothing but expecting death. God himself, out of HIS DEEP LOVE HE gave us HOPE, THE ONLY SON.
LOST: unable to find one’s way; not knowing where one is: confused or in difficulties, that cannot be found or recovered. Lost a project, idea, etc that has failed or is certain to fail.
God Himself has passion for the lost & the dying, He love sinners but hate the sin. So, Lord God has commissioned us to call them back to light & live by the spirit to overcome the lust of the flesh that has made them LOST.
Galatians 5: 16 – so I say, live by the spirit, you will not gratify the desire of the sinful nature.
Furthermore, as it is written in the book of Phil. 3:10-14 Apostle Paul said that not that I have reached the mark but I am pressing towards the goal, forgetting those things, so there is price for excellence & the price is to live a Godly live.
THUS, HOPE FOR THE LOST/PASSION FOR EXCELLENCE is a divine inspiration from God; discovering why and what we are created for as it is written in Isaiah 61:1 THE SOVEREIGN LORD HAS FILLED ME WITH HIS SPIRIT. HE HAS CHOSEN ME & SENT ME TO BRING THE GOOD NEWS TO THE POOR, TO HEAL THE BROKEN HEARTED, TO ANNOUNCE RELEASE TO THE CAPTIVES AND FREEDOM TO THOSE WHO ARE IN PRISON (GNB). We are called to proclaim LIBERTY OF GOD TO THE CAPTIVES. Then if we must then possess the kingdoms & conquer the lands for God, WE THEN MUST PROCLAIM THE LIBERTY OF GOD.
In a place where there is no vision the people perish, vision makes one to understand what he is called to do, the time to it, as it is written in the book of chronicles that men of Issachar understands vision & time. In this world we are living in there is need for our light to shine before all men that people may come to the knowledge of truth. Therefore, it becomes a vision that in this world where development and revelation around and the advancement in the level of technology is conforming people to the standard of the world & losing taste for things of God, why because they have lustful desire to things of the world than things of God.
THUS, GOD GAVE US THIS VISION & MANDATE TO FULFIL:
1. THE KINGDOM OF GOD: - As the Bible says that seek ye first the kingdom of God & his righteousness & all other things shall be added unto you. Also Jesus Christ talks about the kingdom of God in the book John 18, when he was arrested & question by Pontus Pilate. Matthew also talks about the kingdom He says REPENT FOR THE KINGDOM OF GOD IS AT HAND. Which is a call unto repentance, this is our mandate to call people unto repentance & bring them back to light from darkness.
2. HOPE FOR THE NEXT GENERATION: HOPEFUL & RESOURCEFUL – the message of HOPE that was brought to us by Jesus Christ makes us understand that we in HIM there is HOPE, for those who had lost hope that there is nothing good that can come out of them, the message of hope will tell them that they are still resourceful and something good can still come out of their lives. THEY CAN STILL BEAR FRUIT. There is HOPE for the tree that was cut down.
3. HOPE FOR THE LIVING: GUIDANCE & COUNSELLING – this is the time we need to call our people together to have the word of life with them. Speaking to them about peace, love & hope that Lord Jesus brought to humanity. We will tell them the love of God, in LOVE & call them back from darkness to light of GOD through undiluted word of God that will be shared.
4. CENTER OF HOPE: DIGNITY & VIRGINITY, LADIES OF VIRTUE, MEN OF HONOR, BROKEN HOMES & HOPE SUMIT – In this perverse generation where no importance is attached to the Value, Dignity & Virginity both male & female. God has given us the word of Hope, Life & Peace that will bring restoration to our generation. Also to tell them, those who came from broken homes that there is brighter day ahead of them, their situation as not given them a lost Hope but a renewed Hope through our Lord Jesus Christ.
5. HOPE MEDIA & PUBLISHING HOUSE: - Through the inspiration of God we will use the media center & the publishing to affect our generation & the generation yet on born will see the good work which the Lord has helped us to do even when we are no more. The inspirational, motivational & purpose driven books which God will inspire us to write will affect lives for God.
6. PASSION FOR EXCELLENCE: For excellence to come to one’s way there are price to pay. All athletes compete but only one will win the gold, but before he will win the gold he has to let go through some process before he becomes the winner. That process is called PRICE. Meanwhile God will not give you something that will not cost you something in exchange. So we bring the MESSAGE OF HOPE through series of medium to reach the unreached. These mediums are: SEMINAR, CONFERENCE & REVIVAL.
7. HOPE REHABILITATION CENTER: 1COR. 2:15-16 but he that is spiritual judge all things; yet he himself if the judge of man; for who hath the mind of Christ that we might instruct him? But we have the mind of Christ. The deep counsel of heart, the scheme of salvation by Jesus Christ, as drawn in his eternal mind, the sense of the spirit of God in the writing of the old testament, the things of the spirit of God, the doctrine of grace more clearly revealed under the gospel of dispensation; not any natural man, by the light of truth & strength of reason has known any of these things (Isaiah 40:13). Not the lord who needs instruction from any, nor would be bold & insolent as to attempt it nor does the knowledge of the mind of the lord qualify any for such work; since if he knows ever so much of it he cannot know more than the Lord, cannot instruct; and so the word gives and proper sufficient reasons why spiritual man is not discerned, judged, convinced and instructed by natural man: but the same with the mind of the lord which proves that Christ the Lord and so truly & properly God: and which is to be understood, not only the apostles & the ministers of the gospel, but to all true believers; & therefore want no instruction as they can have no from natural man, though chiefly of the former, whereby they were abundantly qualify for the further instruction even of spiritual men. In Amos 3: 9-10, the prophet is told to proclaim tumults, oppression, violence and robbery in the nation. The man of the street was not too disturbed at the lack of law & order. He did not seem to realize this cancerous immorality plaguing the country from within would result in her been crushed and destroyed from without.
However, when the time come to defend Israel from foreign invasion, Israel would not have strength (Vs 11) God says “they have blown the trumpet & made everyone ready, but no one goes to battle” (Ezekiel 7:14) because the people were so preoccupied by their own self interest, they did not respond to the external threat of invasion. As a result, the nation fell easily. In our own generation, we have seen that our adversaries could not conquer us on the battle field when our general level of morality was high. But as our moral fiber weakened from 1960 and today, they began to destroy us on business and the economic world. In our moral & social melancholy, we find rousing ourselves to action as nation get harder & harder to do. Our allies know we are weak branch to lean on.
And behind this is God, who sees our corruption and warn us that the time is NEAR. Therefore this He says: “And adversary shall be upon the land; he shall sap your strength from you, and your palace shall be plundered”. (Amos 3:11). “Therefore” connect the preceding verse with a conclusion or result. Tumult, oppression, violence & robbery begat weakness & destruction. Sin is inherently self destructive. It holds out such promise of pleasure & fulfillment, but contain within it seeds of destruction. Whatever is sown is reaped.
Why does Amos depict Israel as a powerless nation while she was at the height of her economic, political and military power? The nation religious was charade! Morality & righteousness makes it strong, but immorality & unrighteousness will bring it to ruin. (prov. 14:34). Where religion is powerless, government, business and community becomes ineffective because their moral under girding is gone. “For they do not know what is right, says the lord” (Amos 3:10). Unable to tell the difference good, bad & evil, Israelite finally reached the point where they will called evil good & good evil (Isaiah 5:20). Not only this in regard to spiritual truth but to the market place. While they no doubt complain about the violence, they could not see that their own selfish ambition actually produced the violence on the street.
We, too, need to be careful of this attitude in our own self – absorbed culture. The media even call the “Baby boom” generation “Me Generation”.
Notice the repetition of “Palace” and “Houses” in verse 9-11 and in 15. God instruct Amos to tell kings of the foreign nations (Verse 9) about the Israelite stockpiling “violence and robbery in there palaces” against themselves (verse 10). To paraphrase, he says “look, my people have weakened themselves through sin! They are ripe for destruction! God empowers the heathens, so as is battle axe, will punish his people. Our ultimate aim, of course, is to bring them unto REPENTANCE THE FOLLOWING PEOPLE:

4. OUR TARGET: YOUTH (ENTIRE POPULACE)
5. OUR GOAL: TO PLEASE GOD & MAKE HEAVEN
These & many more are the things God want us to accomplish in HOPE FOR THE LUST/PASSION FOR EXCELLENCE. Who then is ready to join the course of the great warriors the Lord is raising as terror against the kingdom of darkness? Know this that, the cost of saving a soul is a soul; life for life 1John 3:16. HOPE FOR THE LOST is standing for Christ, we are representing the personality of our lord Jesus Christ to seek & find the LOST, and it is a covenant with GOD we cannot but ACCOMPLISH THE MISSION. AS PAUL RIGHLY SAY “I do not account my life of any value not even as precious to myself; but if only I may accomplish my course & my ministry which I receive from my father & testify to the gospel of grace”.
